Growing up in an Appalachian region Ohio, in a little valley, surrounded by forest, countless days were spent exploring the woods in my backyard. I took those experiences for granted as a child, but as an adult I now realize how enchanting the forests of Appalachia are, and how fortunate I was to be able to grow up outdoors in that special place. This calendar features 12 watercolor illustrations of florals that can be found in the Appalachian region of the United States. I hope each month brings a little enchantment to your own space! Illustrations featured are: Spring Beauty, Mayapple, Trout Lily, Bloodroot, Mountain Laurel, Rhododendron, Black Eyed Susan, Swamp Milkweed, Giant Ironweed, witch hazel, Grass of Parnassus, and Winterberry.
